    Question on SWG install

We just ordered/received a CircuPool RJ-45 PLUS Salt Chlorine Generator. I tested salt, got 8 bags of pool salt, and got all the pvc etc needed for installation. My question is this: I have tomorrow off work and planned to help my husband with installing everything, but we haven’t been able to...

    SWG Question

Thank you for your help! So now knowing that either can be set up to power through the existing timer, the decision (outside of initial cost/warranty/replacement cell cost) is SJ-55 ($849) with the standard percentage outputs 25/50/75/100/SC, or the RJ-60 ($1229) for better control. Decisions...

    SWG Question

Yes, current pump is on a timer...I guess it’s a standard timer? Its a rectangle box, with a circular center with metal on/off clips that rotates. So either (RJ or SJ) would just be connected to the same timer for the pump and runs only when the pump does?

    SWG Question

Finding 10% liquid chlorine This year has been the worst, so I’m inches away from pulling the trigger on a SWG. I’ve been considering it for two years, but being unable to find the liquid chlorine this year has been the tipping point. I’m considering the CircuPool RJ-60 (originally considering...

Last year my pool was awesome...this year I’m struggling: HELP!

Passed the OCLT this morning:D Once my FC gets into the normal range for my CYA, how often should I test? 1x per day, 2x per day? I was thinking early morning and late evening for now, and adding chlorine to get me through the next day each evening. Thanks for all the help so far!

    Does this make sense?

Ahhhh, makes sense! My last test I didn’t lose near as much. I’m testing/adding hourly, and I’ve gone from 1-2 gallons per test, to .5 gals needed on the last test...so I’m hoping that tonight is the night it passes the OCLT. Thanks for the succinct explanation!

    Does this make sense?

I’m feeling a little confused on the amount of chlorine my pool is going through for this SLAM session: Important fact, my CYA is about 90ppm and will be about the same until I can do another partial drain/refill in the coming weeks. pre SLAM my FC was 11ppm at 10 pm, 8.5ppm at 6 am, 6.5ppm at...

Can you dilute a FAS-DPD test to save the reagent?

New TFPEr here! Long story short: my CYA is on the high side at 90 ppm (after draining and refilling over 1/3rd of my pool a week or so ago. Pool is clear, but I’m losing about 3 ppm in FC overnight, started SLAM tonight to address that. Because my CYA is still high, I’m having to slam at 35 ppm...

Last year my pool was awesome...this year I’m struggling: HELP!

Started the SLAM process tonight. Test results from this afternoon below: So after my 2.5 ppm FC loss last night, I lost an additional 3 ppm from 5 am to about 8 pm. Backwashed, refilled with the hose, used 6.5 gallons of 10% liquid chlorine to start the SLAM, and brushed the walls and floor...

Last year my pool was awesome...this year I’m struggling: HELP!

Got my FAS-DPD test in! Posting everything I did this evening, along with my latest results...now I wait until morning to do my overnight FC loss test. Pool is still clear, but I’d like to keep it that way without having to use a jug or two of 10% bleach every night! Results and notes below...

Last year my pool was awesome...this year I’m struggling: HELP!

It went from about 8 ppm FC last night, to 3 ppm this morning...so the loss is definitely >1 ppm, but it is better than I *think* it has been with my basic tests! My FAS DPD should be in on Thursday, so I'm in a holding pattern until then. I'm going to continue putting in 2 jugs of 10% LC in...

Last year my pool was awesome...this year I’m struggling: HELP!

Many thanks! It seems that I have a plan for the next few days at least. I’m going to go ahead and order the cal hypo after confirming FC loss tonight...so it’s here if/when its time to SLAM.
