Thanks! I love the color too. It was between this or the black granite. I think I would have been happy with either. I have thought a lot about a solar cover. It seems like a pain to deal with and frankly, I love looking at the water when we're not swimming. However, when I get my first electric...

Thanks -- yes, it was very fast! Guess these guys just work quickly. We are still waiting for the concrete surround to be poured. All of this rain we've been getting has the concrete contractor behind schedule. Did Mancini do yours too? Our heat pump is 112,000 BTUs and it has been struggling...

Your pool is really coming along! We love having the gray granite liner. The color will be really gorgeous when your water clears up.

Been utilizing the pool for the last four days since the heat pump finally got our water warm enough. It took 96hrs straight of running the heat pump to get to the upper 70s. It's quite brisk outside now (mid 60's) but the water is a toasty 88 degrees (we've been swimming at night because of our...

    New Build in Western Massachusetts

Thanks so much. We stayed in a bed & breakfast a few years ago in Maine that had a beautiful pool with deep aqua/blue water. That pool had dark grey plaster so I searched for a liner with a similar tone and our water actually looks nearly the same as the inspiration!

Thanks for the detailed response; I appreciate it! Your answer is what I pretty much figured. I ran the pump today as a test and was able to raise the water temp from 54 to 63 degrees which wasn't bad considering it was only in the low 60s. I can only imagine what it can do when it gets into the...

May 10, 2017: Back fill; system start up Ten days since breaking ground and the pool itself is done. However, the water is 55 degrees -- too cold to swim! I hear it takes a few days for a heat pump to get the water to swim-able temperature. Should I start the heat pump even if it's...

New Pool Build in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada

Swimming pools aside, the design of your house is really stunning! I especially love the ground-level to roof window columns. What will your exterior finish be?

I only have the TF-100 and Speedstir Magnetic Stirrer so far. Do you recommend anything else?

It's looking good! Your pool is quite similar to mine. I am a week into my build here in also over-taxed and expensive-to-build-a-pool-in Massachusetts.

May 8, 2017: Filling the Pool Exactly one week after breaking ground and the pool is getting filled with water. Next up, they will truck in sand to back fill around the pool. I think the color of the water is very pretty with this liner; you never quite know what it's going to look like...
