@Randrx2 good catch its more like $0.131 so 2.4 * 0.131 * 8 = $2.52 per day so it brings forward break even. Big picture I'll likely just delay and refresh the whole setup at some point given the other feedback.

Hey all, I have an old Sylvan DE filter(approx 30 years old) but it seems to work just fine after I replaced the filter grids last year. One thing I noticed is the DE instructions reference 10 coffee cups which I think is less than a 1lb. I just picked up a 1lb de scoop so want to make sure...

I've successfully cleaned a green swamp into crystal clear water (bought the house, pool wasn't closed properly). Previous owner stopped by and told us this is the clearest he has seen the water in many many years so I'm winning this battle. My final conundrum.... the water is perfectly clear...
