OK guys so I took apart my corroded pump. Once most of the corrosion was removed it spun quite freely. Can a professional look at these pictures and suggest putting it back together with a new seal or replacing the motor all together? Thanks! Rmal75

Well I went away for a few days and I come home and my filter pump is making a humming noise and not running at all. I'm not sure what the issue is but the pump is no more than 4 years old.

Is there anything to consider with respect to a filter pump when converting to salt water? I understand I need to keep the water balanced but is there something the salt water can do that will damage a pump or other equipment? Thanks, Rmal75
