I use a gizmo for the return line. Then I have a cut up pool noodle that I stuff around the gizmo and screw the lid shut. I stuff a few of the pool noodles into the skimmer opening.

I haven't cleaned it this season but it was clean at the start. Theoretically shouldn't need to clean it but once a year given the size. The filter in the past was smaller and never had that problem with the ichlor 30. The flow at the eyes seems like normal. Pool is perfectly clear.

I would want something in the pool. Maybe not all the way to swg levels but something. When adding salt, don’t run your swg for 24 hours. Check with the manual
