Bought Circupool RJ-60+ - contemplating options for install

Thanks, guys. I went out for the great contemplation and I really do think I have to do that line cutting and bring these pipes up above ground level to start working with this system. Going up and around the other line attached to the heater is not really workable since then I'd block the...

Bought Circupool RJ-60+ - contemplating options for install

Hi everyone. Non-expert here hoping to install the RJ-60+ on my ~45,000 gal pool and could really use some help. I've already bought the unit and I did some measurements and found that I don't have enough linear space at present on the return line to do a linear installation (I have 14" linear...

Expansion gap too small, grouted, tile falling off help

Thank you. I’d appreciate if you can explain a little more about why you think it is the bond beam- is the reasoning that the mortar of coping only generally cracks when the underlying structure does? And the tile area would not typically connect to the coping crack if not bond beam also...

Expansion gap too small, grouted, tile falling off help

So I gather you’re talking about the horizontal crack behind the tile right? So this is not normal? What would I have caused this separation? Is it the lack of expansion joint separation and sealant? That crack in the coping grout, perhaps due to the lack of expansion joint? Something else? Do I...

Expansion gap too small, grouted, tile falling off help

Hi TFPers. ‘Tis the season to figure out what projects we need to do on the pool. Owned the home now two years, noticed our first hard freeze winter in 2020- 2021 resulted in some tiles falling off in two spots. After reading here it seems really our expansion gap was not proper- contained...

    Diving board base rusting away

Okay so I’ll just paint it and when it stops being a sturdy board I’ll put a jacuzzi there. 😂 Seriously, this conversation was helpful to get reality to sink in, so thanks.

    Diving board base rusting away

Yes, the kids love it and I have a 10 foot deep diving pool. I know, we pay a lot for insurance and only one insurer will take us. Turns out another insurer would have taken us if the board were not so high. So, I’d be open to a lower version.

    Diving board base rusting away

It’s pretty clear the part that holds the board and rail needs to go, but it’s all attached to that perfectly fine base by a single weld, so..

    Diving board base rusting away

The part where the column meets the flat base for the board is welded together. Anyone ever have that weld cut and have something new re-welded? That columnar base is not rusted, for whatever reason maybe they used different metal there.
