    Pool light replacement question

I had a leak in the pool light niche. I have all the replacement parts except for the face ring. The pool is 30+ years old and I cannot find an exact replacement for the face ring. I am attaching 2 pics for clarification. It has 10 screws with ears that slide over to seal the light. There's...

    Problem draining pool

Thank you for explaining how the plumbing works. So if I understand you correctly the pool pump is drawing from the main drain and the skimmer but the connection for the main drain is connected somewhere below the surface to the pump line. So with the pump on, they are both pulling water but...

    Problem draining pool

Fortunately I already had a submersible pump and have it in the pool now. Do you guys think the main drain is clogged?

    Problem draining pool

I need to drain my pool. It's a 30+ year old inground pool with a spa. The pool has one main drain and 1 skimmer basket. There is no valve to control to close or open the main drain or the skimmer flow. When I turn on the pump and put the valve on the filter to the waste position it pumps until...

Need to temporarily seal around underground pool light

Thanks for responding to my question. It's a gunite pool, 30 years old, 10" light, not LED, there is a niche. I do not know the model number of the light. I have not removed it. I figured if I could temporarily seal around it as a test that would tell me if it's the problem.

Need to temporarily seal around underground pool light

I have a slow leak in my underground pool. The water level is now below the skimmer inlet so I suspect the pool light. I would like to temporarily seal around the outside of the light where it meets the pool wall to see if the leak stops. I don't want to use epoxy because if the leak stops I...
