    Quick update: Thank your for your advice. The 3M 5200 did the trick. I cleaned as much of the old gasket out of the crack, filled it with 5200 and smoothed it with my finger. After waiting a little more than 2 days I filled the pool past the light and it's holding. Thank you again! Randy

    I was afraid of that. I do a fair bit of scuba drysuit repair and run into the same issue with silicone.
