I see. So when you loosened the wingnut the rush of water and pressure sucked the whole plug into your line because it was undersized. If I unscrew the gizmo first the water will start to fill lines from the skimmer and pressure will be released before attempting rubber plugs.

Now I’m confused. Is there a plug up at the pump basket? I know they used the black rubber plugs on the return jets and a gizmo at the skimmer.

I have the magic lube II with the red cap and Boss 820.

I’m assuming do that with the pump off? Is water going to come rushing out of there? I do have the silicone magic lube but have never used it. Anything else to be aware of before i give it a try?

Passed the OCLT so my guess is the added calcium depleted my chlorine 🤷‍♂️

I was reading other posts on here about people who said the same thing. I added some liquid chlorine and will still do an OCLT but thinking the calcium is the culprit.

I run the pump and SWG 16 hours a day at 70% and was trying to keep a minimum of 5ppm. I did recently reduce it to 60% two days ago or so. That’s just a crazy drop of chlorine. I’ll do an OCLT tonight.

No, not sure. But even if they did would it drop FC levels that much that quick?
