how to remove broken weir door stop?

Hi folks, I've been having trouble with my weir doors getting 'stuck'. In rough water (kids jumping, etc), they swing out past the skimmer and get stuck vertically up against a plastic tab, blocking flow into the skimmer. After some research, I think the cause a broken 'weir door stop' which...

PoolMath feature request - 'recent' or 'favorite' chemicals

Hi @Leebo, any chance this feature is on the roadmap now that the app overhaul has been rolled out? The new app UI seems slightly easier to choose chems from the big list, but still tedious to have to scroll through 27 chemicals I never use in order to select LC, MA, or baking soda. Would be so...

Air in pump basket after heater replacement??

    > When the acid in the feeder eats away at the check valve who will you blame? Thank you for your input. I'm fully aware of the issues surrounding chlorine tab use. I am not asking about them in this post. Since you asked, my pump runs 24/7 so there is no concentrated acid or chlorine backing...

Air in pump basket after heater replacement??

I will try the Saran Wrap idea, thanks. My primary sanitizer (98% of the time) is liquid chlorine. The erosion feeder is only for occasionally use, when I'm traveling. There is a corrosion resistant check valve between the erosion feeder and the heater.

Air in pump basket after heater replacement??

Recently had my old (leaking) heater and chlorinator replaced by a local pro -- a new Jandy JXi and a Jandy TruChlor erosion feeder (used sparingly). Other than this equipment and the necessary PVC connections, none of the other equipment was touched (pump, filter, Jandy valves, etc -- all of...

optimal order of adding muriatic acid and liquid chlorine

I'm a pro at splitting hairs. :) Thanks, your reply helps put things in context. I do mostly keep my TA between 60-70, but still I find that my pool's pH will climb above 8.0 quickly (few days) if I don't stay on top of it with acid additions. I recently had automation installed and now I...

optimal order of adding muriatic acid and liquid chlorine

Surely there has to be some difference in overnight pH level between these two methods? A little more context. Previously, I was actually doing LC at night and adjust pH next morning like you say, but always found higher than expected pH in the morning. It occurred to me that maybe my evening...

optimal order of adding muriatic acid and liquid chlorine

Is there an optimal order to add these: acid before liquid chlorine, or liquid chlorine before acid? I am not talking about huge changes like startup or SLAM. I'm talking about normal small maintenance doses during the week. I usually add in the evenings. I wait a little bit between adding the...

Quick Question for those in SE Texas - Pool Temperatures During the January 2024 Freeze Event

In Central Texas, my water was 53F before the freeze, got down to 39F (during prolonged air temp of 15-20F), and now back up to 44, as per AquaLink.

Spa slowly draining in freeze protection mode

I went through this recently on my system (recently had Aqualink automation installed). This occurs if I enable Freeze Protection on the pool and spa, because it causes the system to cycle between pool and spa every so many minutes and (depending on your return valve settings) some water is lost...

iAqualink online & operating correctly but always Waiting for connection

If the system was working previously before you got the error, then maybe the following will help. I recently had an Aqualink system installed and I have experienced this error several times. For me, this issue occurs when I back out of a settings menu/screen without saving my changes (what...
