Thanks for the insight. The returns and lights are way above the water level now. When they closed the pool they did drain some just below the returns but it lost so much water since. Yeh in the past years the pool was always full of water after the melt. Canada.

My inground pool lost a lot of water and as a result the safety cover ripped from the weight of the snow on it! The water level now is at or slightly below the last step. Could this really be a leak or did my pool company forgot to close the main drain valve?! We had the liner replaced just...

Just curious I'm sure they know what they are doing but why is the liner company going to cut out return jets and lights under the water? I thought the whole point of the liner is to stop water dripping behind it and onto the concrete. Wouldn't this let water sip behind it?

Found my answer for anyone curious. It's called a deflector gasket, looks like for my jacuzzi brand sand filter. It's the gasket for the sight glass apparently.
