well dang, spoke to a tork distributor, tork doesn't manufacture a shield, so it's either purchase a whole new unit or make something myself...maybe ebay will have a broken 1104...

great customer service from intermatic, they identified the model and sent me a complimentary shield! on to tork now.

unfortunately the buyer is fully aware and has asked us to address the issue. looks like the intermatic was rebranded by a local pool company and they managed to remove the model number. the tork is an 1104, looking now but starting to think we may have to replace pool timers!

Hi, we lose water fast when we run our fountain, perhaps half an inch per hour. How do I diagnose the problem? I suppose the basic strategy is to determine if the leak is in the fountain or pipe carrying water to the fountain? what's the best way to do this? tia,

thanks, finally got around to this and yes, it whitened the pool surface. do I have to purchase some sort of iron out product?

the puck had no effect so I guess it's not organic...we have municipal water but I suppose it could be iron.
