    Pool Plumbing

Hmm don’t want to mess anything up for sure. Judging by what I am seeing plumbing wise and finding on the internet pointing to initial installations leaving just a jet port where a vacuum port is intended to be placed, I have a sneaking suspicion that’s what the mystery piping and port are...

I’ll give it a shot. We vacuum via the skimmer, remove the basket and plug the hose into the suction hole underneath.

Nope nothing like that, there is a curious jet that has never jetted but it looks like a jet with a directional screw in faceplate. I ran a snake up it and blew water via a garden hose thru, it dislodged some debris but it still has no output when the pool is running.

Sure thing, it’s a Pentair salt system, here are more pics. There isn’t anything that looks like a vacuum inlet but there is what looks like a regular 1” jet that doesn’t actually jet and isn’t marked on the original plan as a jet (or anything), which is part of the mystery I’m trying to solve.

I assume the pipes leading into my pump at the front are the skimmer and spa return, but what is the pipe at the lower left with the blue closed valve (which has been closed since built)? My installer didn’t leave me any diagrams, didn’t label pipes, and gave me a cursory training sesh mostly...

Replacing Intellichlor salt cell reusing wiring

I appreciate everyone’s input. My installer actually did a really nice job of allowing us to keep the sidewalk along the back of our property by popping the conduit under it. I have attached a pic (red line more or less shows the cable route), as well as a pic of the IC40 replacement cable from...
