Thank you! - I don't see any issue myself with the plaster to the niche as far as it not being level. The niche itself has no markings or numbers that I could find. I highly suspect the fixture which was a hayward before and I bought the same is not correct for the niche. II had to use a...

Hi Folks -- I have been having problems with my spa light ever since a re-plaster. After it was plastered, my spa light keep filling with water and getting brown gunk in it. I assumed it was old, replaced the gasket and lense... same issue. Pool was built around 1995 by prior owner. Next I...

    Pump Wont Start

Hi, I was out of town for the past 8 days and came home to a green-tinted pool and getting greener by the hour in the 100 degree heat. The pump has stopped working, the booster works for the cleaner but not the main. It has clearly been out for a few days. In the past I have had to replace...

    Spa Inlet/Jet Blower Issue

Welp, I think the blower may have gone bad. Strange as I haven't used in months but when I take it off the pipe and just let it run within a second or two its making the whirling sound and not blowing air. Do these things come apart at all would there be something to check?

    Spa Inlet/Jet Blower Issue

Hello -- I had my pool remodeled over the summer and just tried out the spa yesterday and the blower wouldn't operate normally. It could have gone bad, but hasn’t been used all summer so I feel like that’s probably not the case. The remodel didn't affect any equipment other than the pool...

    DFW Pool Redo

Does anyone know what kind of return fittings these are? They looked very odd to me and I couldn't find anything similar online. They have a very thin collar and it looks like the eye just sits in there. Got the plaster in today!

    DFW Pool Redo

Certainly a few updates since the last post. I am pretty concerned with the ledger stone installation it just doesn't look right to me. First I don't think they waterproofed the behind it which I had specifically asked for with going with a darker tile, I wanted to ensure moisture wouldn't...

    DFW Pool Redo

So today we started demo and broke out most of the tile and coping. The pool light has been troubling me since we bought the place, you could wipe of the stain but it would come back real quick and I put this on the list to be sure is addressed prior to the new surface. It almost looks like the...

    DFW Pool Redo

Thanks everyone! So I guess the consensus is that the bluestone is more durable than the silver mist, really good to know. I am going to be picking out the stone with the PB soon. How about the stacked stone/ledger stone? It is a slate stone, will this flake as well and should I make sure its...
