What is a good liquid chlorinator?

Hi and welcome, glad you are here. Everyone has different pools and different needs. I have an above ground pool and solved my dosing problem with a $13 peristaltic pump from amazon, some aquarium tubing, a 12v battery charger, a Woods programmable timer, all in a plastic cabinet next to the...

First Visit to the Pool Store in Two Years to ...

I enjoy the pool store. It is where I get my liquid chlorine. This last time, thanks to being a good customer, I left with 5 gallons at a cost of $3.00! Sent from my X10 using Tapatalk

My $25 auto chlorinator DIY project

I had that pump and it was destroyed within 6 months. Insides were melted and rusted. Went with cheap peristaltic. Sent from my X10 using Tapatalk

New pool owner, can I do this?

I think he said gauge is not working. I'd like to see report of on for an hour off for an hour and repeat to see how the prime holds and if it always reprimes consistently.

I don't know why but I'm starting to think it's the multiport.

    Different source for peristaltic pump?

Hey there Charlie_r, I have an 18x48 intex, and I'm using a peristaltic pump from amazon, 12v run by a battery charger on a simple digital timer. How's your arduino project doing?

What type of tubing for liquid chlorine (bleach) feeder?

I went the peristaltic pump route also, a cheap 12v one from amazon. As for tubing, cheap aquarium 1/4 inch OD (I think) slips over the small tubing that's in the pump. I do remember a youtube vid showing how to cut away some plastic to actually use the larger tubing than what it comes with...

New pool owner, can I do this?

Would testing in WASTE mode tell us anything? That would bypass a lot of stuff, at least.

My $25 auto chlorinator DIY project

Hi Rangeball, I wish I could help out. As silly as it sounds, could you run the line to the pool and 'hide' it somehow with something decorative? Maybe a different type of pump, the ones with rollers, can't think of the name, would handle the pressures encountered with a pool pump better...

My $25 auto chlorinator DIY project

I too am impressed. I have a small pool and only need dosing for about three to four minutes each day. That little $15 pump and the Woods timers make my pool as care free as anything I've ever maintained. I highly recommend spending some beer money before a high dollar investment. But then...
