Help! Getting ready to replumb my system....

The spa is part of the pool, so no, it is not above the pool. So I should ditch back flow valve. What is hanging me up is finding the right backflow valve that attaches to the filter.

    Intermatic Timer Motor Problems

I tried switching out a new motor awhile back, and the motor ran slower than it should have. So without the correct time, it was junked. I gave up on it.

Help! Getting ready to replumb my system....

San Diego 40's at night and 70 todays high. I'll trust you on your experience and get a replacement valve. I do not want to have to go back and redo it again. The one I have looks makeshift, but I may be wrong. You think Amazon has the valve? I'll take an accurate measurement on the inlet and...

Help! Getting ready to replumb my system....

Ok, now it's getting confusing. I don't see how a backwash valve affects the back flow of DE back into the pump and pool. It's a valve to flush water out of the filter. When not engaged, isn't it just plumbing bringing water into the filter and out of the filter? Also if you look at the pic...

Help! Getting ready to replumb my system....

I'm installing a new heater and a new pump/motor (vs). I've got everything I need but couplings going in and out of the filter. It seems like the couplings are 2" but the threads are larger than the heaters fittings. I have a standard Raypac and the couplings are smaller than the couplings on...

    And Another Pool Cleaner Question?

Just lost all my typing. Darn. Is this a robot that you would run every day or possibly twice a week? Reviews say that the filter inside the e10 is too coarse and spits out a lot of small stuff.

    And Another Pool Cleaner Question?

Ok, I looked up the v-flex, and only see an upgrade kit. This would be for the Navigator, not the 2 wheeled version. So I am assuming that I'm better off getting a navigator as opposed to the 2 wheel design. If I can get the standard navigator with the 75 dollar rebate, maybe get that one and...

    And Another Pool Cleaner Question?

I have to replace my Hayward Pool Vac after 15 years of use. It is the standard white one that cost 300 bucks 15 years ago. It is attached to the basket at the skimmer and runs on vacuum. I'm putting in a new VS Pentair pump and a new spa heater Raypak ng dig heater (400 power) this winter...

I'm re-laying out my plumbing to replace major worn out parts.........

Holy carp! No comments. Is it pay to play? Or is it that it looks like I know what I'm doing and do not need help.

I'm re-laying out my plumbing to replace major worn out parts.........

When the pump is on the spa gets the water from the pump and the spa has a dam which water flows into the pool. And the pool and spa when idle are at the same level. So no, to the raised spa. I don't think you can argue that a straighter line going into the pump would make the pump more...

I'm re-laying out my plumbing to replace major worn out parts.........

"I am not a fan of your layout however.. More of a personal thing than function.. I would want someone looking at my work to think that I did on purpose rather than by accident.. " Please explain. I don't like things to look like an accident either. Are you referring to the angle of the pump...

I'm re-laying out my plumbing to replace major worn out parts.........

I'm putting in a Intelliflo and a new Raypak heater this fall and am laying out the piping etc so I will have all the parts I need to do the job in a day, hopefully. With the intelliflo variable, I need to put it at an angle so as to get a straight pipe into the inlet as opposed to an elbow...
