The spa is part of the pool, so no, it is not above the pool. So I should ditch back flow valve. What is hanging me up is finding the right backflow valve that attaches to the filter.

I tried switching out a new motor awhile back, and the motor ran slower than it should have. So without the correct time, it was junked. I gave up on it.
