    Do you think it will be okay that my foam will be about an 1" higher than my patio blocks at some areas? As I was leveling the blocks, I had to dig in a few of them to get them level with the lowest block.

    Do you think either of these would work? GreenGuard Extruded Polystrene Foam Board, .56" X 4' X 8'. Pactiv Extruded Polystene Foam Board, .25" X 4' X 50 ft. It would reduce the number of seams, but is thinner.

    The cost of sand if I had it delivered would be about the same cost as using foam. Does the foam break down and smell like a swamp after the first season?
