I actually have the Haward needle valve so I have very good control of the flow. Maybe that just becomes the case, ditch flow valve all together. I do like being able to monitor it though as the pressure rises I usually do a fine adjustment. Since I only need to backwash about every 3 weeks...

I found, very oddly, that I had the same sort of thing (soda bubbles) in the system with no leak which dissappeared after about a week. So I chalked it up to some components out gassing after exposure to water and chlorine.

Does common mean, that's a normal issue people have but it needs to be fixed, or it's normal to be that way and its operating correctly? I'll loosen it up, grease it a bit and tighten it all the way down.

Liquidator seems to be running well now, all the soda fizz bubbles seem to have just been parts out gassing etc, because all the lines are now solid and the water is running well. I am holding steady with my chlorine in the pool (well, except for dealing with the storms every day), so I know...
