Just wanted to show off my pool and decking

I had a contractor do it, I don’t think it was difficult they just took it nice and slow to not damage the pool. The liner was hung on the aluminum coping at this point which was held in place by the concrete. They did a great job.

    Pool "decking" Suggestions

All I can say is, if you have a choice, DO NOT do grass anywhere near the pool. I dealt with it for years and its a giant PIA. It is more money and more time but if this is on the table I would do pavers. I think concrete would probably be the easiest but if anything heaves or cracks its easier...

Just wanted to show off my pool and decking

We re-did the pool decking completely this spring. Before that was 3' concrete (broken) and outside of that was grass. Trying to mow in the "pool yard" was a disaster every weekend. Took down 2 pine trees, I had replaced the vinyl liner maybe 4-5 years ago and kept that. I also bought a Dolphin...

    Vinyl liner stains on floor

I have been reading more into it, not sure yet. Trying to figure out if it is an iron stain or not. They make a solution that lifts iron stains but it seems like there are sequestering steps and filter cleaning steps after that, I am not willing to try it yet. Ever since I learned about metals...

What did you do to your pool today?

What did I do? watched my son and nephew swim in our crystal clear pool from my office window while I'm stuck inside working :(. Having a big pool party on 7/3 so need this pool to stay CRYSTAL CLEAR.I am going to leave the pump running 24/7 @ about 1100-1400rpms and do daily maintenance until...

Losing prime when pump is off overnight

Like @Texas Splash said, if its leaking it needs to be fixed. If you notice you are losing water level in the pool that looks like where it is coming from. Honestly, if the hose is full of water like that, I don't know how it can't be leaking water

Losing prime when pump is off overnight

Are they usually left full of water like that? Nothing against it I'm just curious. I had a bad valve in my multiport once and water was escaping through the waste line, only noticed it because the hose was full of water. just looking out

Losing prime when pump is off overnight

Can you explain what I’m looking at with the blue hose (appears to be a backwash hose) coming out of the inlet side of the three way valve?

    Vinyl liner stains on floor

Odd. I have the same thing. Haven't tried any remedies but noticed it wasn't coming up with a brush when I opened up the pool earlier this year. I'm not a help but want to follow this thread to see if any helpful suggestions come out of it.

    SWG costs

OK good to know. I don't test the salinity with strips that often and usually just glance at the LCD display. I will double check I have a few salt test strips left.

    SWG costs

Sorry to comment on an older post like this, but I have been reading a lot more lately here and catching up on some good info. I have the Hayward Aquarite (T-15) *knock on wood* have not had a single issue with it and have had it for over 4 years-same cell. Will it throw an error/code if the...

Weird Blue Stuff in Sand Filter

I inherited my current sand filter from the previous homeowner as well, its pretty much the only pool equipment I haven't replaced because it works just fine. But, I don't know the exact amount of lbs to put in mine either. I put enough in there to cover the incoming arm to the diffuser (top pvc...
