Can I keep my pool closed?

Circumstances this year make it so that we are not going to be using our AG pool this summer. Can I keep it closed and with the cover on and do nothing? I am in PA if that matters. Thx!

How to lengthen copper bonding wire

We moved our pump further away from the pool and the copper bonding wire does not reach. Is there a right way to add wire to it? What type of wire should be used - #8 bare copper? Thanks!
