Air Pressure Test on Opening - Leak concern

Thanks that's a good suggestion. Will have to wait for my dry weather. I assume 1PSI down for temperature drop and 1PSI up for temp increase, but Unfortunately I checked today and it was at zero PSI, so that's a clear indication of a leak somewhere. Just don't know if it's in the plumbing or...

Air Pressure Test on Opening - Leak concern

I am taking the opportunity to do a pressure test before opening the pool. I tested at 20psi of air and it held for a couple hours. Overnight, with temperature drop, the PSI in the morning was 12PSI. Approximately 15 hours later. I did bucket test last year and did no show any visible results...

Pool deck expansion joint - foam from builder- replace with caulk?

Thanks. I was not really thinking about the dirt buildup overtime but makes sense. My original concern was that the foam would not prevent water. And getting water in would either cause some erosion or pressure on the underneath and back wall of the pool. Not to mention freeze thaw in the...

Pool deck expansion joint - foam from builder- replace with caulk?

When my builder finished the pool they left a white foam strip in the expansion joint between the coping and the concrete. About a half inch. I asked them if it should be caulk and they said no at the time. this will be my third season and it never seemed right to me. So I did some reading and...

    Vinyl Closing - Helping Neighbor

Thanks, everyone. Water is not new, but pool is about three years old. Not sure if there is any CYA but good to know. I will check and balance all water beforehand just to be sure. Will put chlorine in then to appropriate levels. I'm sure closing will take us a little longer but could to...
