PLEASE HELP! Amazon solar heater DYI install

Ok. A fernco with hold the pressure? Thats seems much more reasonable. Should this be it?: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Fernco-1-1-2-in-x-1-1-4-in-DWV-Flexible-PVC-Coupling-P1056-150-125/100044154

PLEASE HELP! Amazon solar heater DYI install

Hello, Trying to install the $90+/- solar pool heater found on azon and many other locations. While I read the many review comments about the wierd fitting sizes, I also read the many other comments that all the fittings you need could be found at home depot. I am sad to say I am at a loss. I...

    Pool coping recommendations/suggestions needed

Thanks. I did some googling on travertine, and it is a fantastic match for what I am envisioning. For some reason I thought travertine may not be wise in an area with freezing winters. Is that a problem or am I making that up? I am in upstate NY. Also I did a horrible job of taking photos...

    Pool coping recommendations/suggestions needed

This is our small self-built pool. We were thinking to use 12" wide bluestone, but with the golden pebble liner, I am concerned the blue/grey would detract rather than enhance the turquoise water color the liner creates. Stepstone's square modular coping series has some nice tan shades. Is...

Probably going to be in trouble for asking this question

Amail, you were right, and I was not patient enough. Finally today we are clearing up. You know, I was thinking about the weekend, and in addition to the brown water from the return, there were three kids in the pool slathered with SPF 50. I imagine that didn't help either. Thanks you.

Probably going to be in trouble for asking this question

Hello - I passed the OCLT test with no problem. Less than 0.5 mg/l drop overnight. duraleigh - mg/l = ppm (Professional habit to use mg/l, I will try not to do it if it causes confusion) Before posting I read, and read, and read - 'Help I have cloudy water' posts. In almost every case...

FC: 4 mg/l CC: no reading, zero? pH: 7.4 TA: 60 mg/l CH: 50 mg/l CYA: 35 Hello - I am in the process of starting up a DYI pool. I had a temporary filter set-up with the intake just dangling into the side of the pool. I used a long hose to direct flow to one set of returns. At the same time I...

Cleaner recommendation needed for small, odd shaped inground

I picked up an aquabot S2-40 from craigslist. I do not have a 6" chamfer at the transition from the shelf to the deeper section of the pool, so it does not climb. As recommended by ping I just bushed the shelf quickly before putting it in motion. It did a great job and was fun to watch. I...

Cleaner recommendation needed for small, odd shaped inground

Thanks so much for the feedback. Overall, the shelf seems to stay cleaner then the rest of the pool, I think the return circulation takes any material off the bottom and moves it toward the deeper sections of the pool. There are two returns in the shallow shelf. It would literally take a...

Cleaner recommendation needed for small, odd shaped inground

Could someone with a robot weigh in? Would it crawl up on the shelf? ( I could post a pic of the pool, but as it is still looking like a construction zone, and there is still a 5 gallon pail of polyfill removing iron, I am a little embarrassed to post it) Erin

Cleaner recommendation needed for small, odd shaped inground

Thanks needsajet. I figured the ones with wheels would just roll into the wall and never make it onto the shelf. Many people seem very happy with "The Pool Cleaner". Maybe I need to find a youtube video showing how these guys operate. The suction pressure cleaner I thought about was the...
