I’m on day 8 of SLAM. CYA=50 FC: 20 Pool opened black. Dealt with ammonia early on that was eating my chlorine immediately. 22 gallons to get that under control. FC finally holding. I’m just making sure this is dirt or dead algae and not active algae. It’s been an intense battle!!

Literally just had same thing happen. We had a huge heat wave and my capacitor was the culprit. Just switched it out and pump ran right away

Installed New run capacitor and pump fired up like a charm! 2 questions is there anywhere that sells the casing (hump) where the run capacitor sits. Mine is worn down and rusted bad. Also any best practices in getting off the lid where the motor is. Took off the bolts and could not get it...
