I am now a water snob

guilty! we finally have all of our boraxo in (37 boxes) and chems just right, what an amazing difference! I was leery that our already clean water could get better. The "Sparkle" is very evident and the water feels great. When we jump in it's like diving into velvet. Hello my name is Michael...

    New Dig in Nicaragua

Ok, well it's done! and beautiful. the SWCG are working great although over the last couple of days I have noticed some calcium build up on the plates. I took the plunge and starting adding borax. I am using the pool calculator and have added twice the amount of acid it asked for and still...

Thanks Bama, will do. I have a feeling with a pool of this size it will take me a few minutes to get the hang of keeping it balanced.

    New Dig in Nicaragua

well it is finally starting to look like a pool. It has been a lot of hard work and have had to work around rain and mud. Filter and pumps showed up yesterday. The float line tile started going up and we should be applying the Florida Gem by Monday. I have had 180lbs. of 20 mule team boraxo...

    well water fill

we fill at least 6,000 gallons of water a day around here in the dry season. The pump is fine I just have to keep an eye on the level of water in the well. I can pump 2,500 gallons in about 1.5 hours, then I have to let the well recover. LisaM I would be more worried about the creek water...

    well water fill

thanks, I do know our water is very hard. At 60,000 gallons I am assuming that keeping the pool topped off with the well should be fine, giving the system time to bring the water in line.

    well water fill

hello again, so we are slowly approach the time to fill the new pool. The PB has said that we should not use the well water for the initial fill. He said that the minerals in the water will stain or discolor the Florida Gem finish. Does this sound right to yall? I am looking at $1,000 to...
