    Reg Micro Fusion Pebble Finish

Yes, we really like it. Smooth on feet but not slippery. The color we selected was Tahoe. The abalone shells that are part of the pebbles have a very nice look..they pick up the light, either from sun or nite lights in the pool and shimmer.

Merry Christmas to All of You

Casey, I am fairly new to the forum but I have been here long enough to see how generous and helpful you have been to others struggling to master the art of owning a pool. Thank you for all you have done for others. Here is wishing you the best in the year ahead.

    Reg Micro Fusion Pebble Finish

I don’t yet have long term experience with microfusion, but had it installed in August and it is beautiful. It has abalone shells in it that gives it a glow. Several of the pool builder guys who stopped by for other tasks remarked how great it looked. It was the first pool they used it on and...

First pool Tampa area - Plumbing question

I confess I have mixed feelings about not getting it as I read stories of people having issues with them. He did put in the manual fill line so we just go to where the faucets are and turn it on, rather than drag a hose over, which would be a pain and was before they finished connecting the...

First pool Tampa area - Plumbing question

My pb forgot our autofill too! As we were nearing final equipment install etc, we were standing by edge of pool and I asked where is the autofill...the slightly overworked guy said, ah, not in contract. I was not holding the contract in my hand, so just stared at the water...later, i read thru...

    Equipment delays?

After our cold front (with the first rain in SF Bay area in memory..well before the excavation for our pool) passed through last night, the morning air temp was 48, but the pool was at 68 (with no cover yet). Heated to 80 on saturday am so it held temp well and heater off since then. If I had...

    Equipment delays?

A final update. We got plastered, a temp pump installed, later replaced by the permanent variable speed and were swimming at beginning of August. Heater installed early september, continued swiming thru yesterday, October 17! We just had two 80 degree days here in SF Bay area (30 miles or so...

    Pebble Sheen purchased, Stonescapes delivered

We should have a separate thread on living with a port-a-potty in front of your house with no end date in sight for removal! I even saw our mail-person using ours! I finally moved my car in front to block casual drop in visitors.

    Considering a Variable Speed Pump

My PB just installed a 3/4 hp “temporary” pump instead of the vs we had ordered because it was the only thing he coukd get so we could fill the pool. it is a small pool, 6500 gallons. I understand the small single speeds will continue to be sold, but I really want to change to vs as soon as it...

New pool construction - From exciting to stressful

Agree re frustrations on communication. If I controlled the world of pool building, I would hire someone to email customers at least weekly to give updates, projections on next activity, problems etc. My PB generally responds a few days later to emails and I try not to bug him constantly as I...

New pool construction - From exciting to stressful

I share your misery. I was actually depressed when I kept reading posts from so many as they were moving along steadily and opening up new pools. I keep reminding myself that the whole building industry and particularly the pool industry is undergoing incredible stress. i actually feel sorry...

Wild Animals Friends That Like to Use My Pool

Very cool hawk! I do think they like to dine on rodents, but I guess everyone likes variety. Neighbors talk about how ducks move from pool to pool in our neighborhood. I hope they don’t complain, but that is one of reasons we are getting an automatic cover. Since we have been living with an...

    Equipment delays?

Equipment finally arrived. Installing this week. Plaster next week. Maybe swim in August. For those still waiting, there is hope. There were 14 container ships outside SF bay a few days ago with half dozen at anchor inside the bayand another group at the Oakland dock..all full of equipment...

    Equipment delays?

Haha...The funny thing is, we had two previous pools, but when we moved to SF Bay Area, we said it wasn’t hot enough to justify a swimming pool, but after three summers with many days over 100...up to 107 several time...we decided a pool did make sense!!

    Equipment delays?

Thank you for the link to your “saga” thread. I was trying to search the forum to see if there was one like that, but obviously didn’t use the right search terms. I actually had seen a news story about someone searching out their own equipment and thought about whether I wanted to try that...
