    Replace old diving board

Spoke to my town - permits and bonding, inspection definitely required if I do not use the same exact jig. May do without a board. Very hard to find compatible base for my jig. Did not think that would be the case.

    Replace old diving board

Thanks again James. See above. I’m aware of those options. Trying to avoid. New bolts require cutting concrete, permits and bonding and inspection. If I can find a base/board that fit this tripod - simple switch out. Bolts are in good condition. I coat with Vaseline every year. Triac/Latham do...

    Replace old diving board

James - from my original post: Tripod distance between bolts – 9 1/8 (front bolt closest to pool to each rear) 10 9/16 (between 2 rear bolts furthest from pool) Is that enough info? No drawing but I describe layout of tripod and distance between bolts. Single apex of triangle is closest to...

    Replace old diving board

Thanks for the reply. Tried that and S.R. Smith could not help. Said they do not have a base that fits those dimensions. I'm aware of the cutting bolts and using bolt kit option but then it requires cutting into the concrete to reconnect to the electrical bonding wire and this is a lot more time...

    Replace old diving board

Hi All, I have a diving board - 22 years old and is done. Tripod in concrete is in good shape and if I can find a new base and board, I'd easily replace it myself (I take it into my shed each fall - base and board - easy to do). Problem is, I can't find a base that will fit my current tripod and...

    Part for Zinc Anode Installation

Jim - thanks for this. I have read everything on TFP about this and agree with you! LOL. I had some serious iron issues last summer (likely caused by work being done on old pipes in my neighborhood). Spent $250 on pro water testing of my municipal water after work was complete by my town. No...

    Part for Zinc Anode Installation

Thanks - this is helpful info. Just wondering - did you try both part numbers above? CMP folks keep telling me it is in stock and any supplier should be able to get it. I'm betting you are correct. I'm going to tell them if they have it - get me one gratis at this point. I'd cut the whole thing...

    Part for Zinc Anode Installation

Poolman - CMP tells me they have it in stock. See BOTH product numbers above. One of them should be it. I've had several emails with CMP support. Since I just bought new locking nut and o-ring and zinc bar, I'd like to make that investment useful and finish it off with this part.

    Part for Zinc Anode Installation

Hi All, Having trouble finding a part for my zinc anode installation. Company who makes it (C-M-P.com) tells me it is in stock and any pool store should be able to order it for me. No direct to consumer. I'm having a tough time finding the clear plastic lid (with hole in center through which...

Iron persists - complete water change needed

I believe there is some advantage in this order: ascorbic acid to release iron // sequestration to keep it in solution // floc to enlarge particles for vacuum to waste. Not for me based on my previous reasoning but may be useful for others.
