I'm trying to test my CYA levels now and I am out of the R 0013. I do have a large bottle of R 7065 but for the life of me don't even remember ordering it. How do I use this for the test instead? Seems it is different, it says CYA Standard...the R 0013 says CYA Reagent... Thanks!!

Thank you, thank you! :) Yes, I do have the test kit and will shock and give you my own results. I do my own tests and also get them from the pool store for comparison. I just haven't done mine yet. (only the chlorine) I will be back with my results!

ok the pool is clear now. I could not get it to get clear for anything...so bought some clarifier...that did the job. So, clear water and no chlorine loss at night but loss during the day from the sun. Trying to raise my CYA level but that's taking awhile. I poured it into the skimmer a few...

Right I understand that....but if the pool calculator said to add 4 to get to 20...and I added 8, and still only FC of 1.5 this morning? I have that much algae? Should I add more algacide?

Also wanted to note that I added approx 15 oz of algaecide about a week and a half ago.
