My hubby turned it off. Only he knows why. Lol. We actually called the co that installed it last year before we nought the house. Turned out the plugs were loose.its working now, and the hum of the pump is sweet sweet music to my ears. I can see the bottom in the shallow side, next to all the...

SIGH. Pump got turned off last night. Won't prime this morning. Flooded pump box, put water in skimmer, turned off empty chlorinator, let it run 3 minutes, (all of this multiple times) am at wits end and don't know what else to do. Oh, and there's nothing blocking the inlet to the pump inside...

Ok. The water is clear, but cloudy. With the soap bubbles from the cleaning bleach on top. I used the new kit I got and FC - 1.5 CC - .5 PH - 7.4 TA - 100 Pool math seems to say I should need about a half dozen bottles 121oz 8% bleach. Does that sound right?

Thank you. Someone suggested to us to spray the surface of the pool with a 50/50 solution of vinegar and water. To get rid of the soap film. The SLAM will definitely make the remnants (soap) of the "Cleaning" bleach go away, right? Thank you for the specifics on the bleach "brands", that is...

Yeah, this was second level up store brand. I noticed Clorox, for example, was labeled with 6%. As long as it says "original" un scented, not low splash, etc., am I not worried about the "other" listing that followed the sodium hypo?

Hopefully, my test will be here tomorrow. In the meanwhile, added 2 gallons regular bleach, again, unlabeled, so assuming 6%, just to keep something in the water. It rained last night, so it's all sudsy again. Leaf rake pulling up some leaves from bottom, pool blaster MAX! (lol) pulling up...

wellllll...the bleach that came home last night has "cleaning bleach" on the label. :( and now I have a swirly white pool with a head of suds in my skimmer basket. Will the chlorine take care of this once I get it to proper levels? :?: Or is the 12k of water we just had trucked in now ruined...

Ok. I watched a few cya test videos and re-did my tests. Now, my results are FC - 1.5 TC - 3 pH - 7.0 (is the drop from all the aerating it's getting because of the leak? I have a very violent cyclone in my pump box (or whatever the thing with the clear lid on the pump is called) and serious...

Re: 20x40 IG, vinyl. pool green w debris. Shock first, then clean & add h2o? Thank you for this. It helped. And thank you everyone else who took their time to reply. I am a total newbie at this stuff, and full of much gnashing of teeth and wringing of hands over it all. lol. Now that I am...

Thank you. No powder. It's a 2005 complete (high) DPD chlorine; DPD bromine. (1-10); pH w acid & base demand; total alkinity; calcium hardness; cyanuric acid is what the label on the front says. . . The FC test was: add two reagents, check color; CC WAS ADD A 3rd reagent check color; do math for...

Yay! Finally. I was wrong about kit, it's a 2005. I tested, but I have questions. For the ch - it barely turned red, so how blue is blue? Is it just not red anymore? Cause that was a few drops. To see blue was like 26. Also, with CYA HOW MUCH NOT SEEING IS NOT SEEING THE BLACK DOT. Also, with...
