My new liner just got put in today. Best price I could find locally was $5.99 for solar salt at rural king. Walmart is up to $7 or $8 a bag for pool salt. You’ll have to take out a loan to get it from a pool store. Check around til you find the best price.

You should be able to use the same connections. You’ll just have to change the fittings to match the new setup.

Did you add borates? It's been a little while since I read through the whole thread, and I can't remember. I've been using the hth metal and stain remover from Walmart, and after I added borates I have dramatically longer periods between doses. Before I would have to add a quart about every week...

Well it looks like my wish came true. I added the borates, and I've only added sequestrant once. My steps have started to stain again, but it is going very slowly. Not like the couple days between sparkly white and dingy brown that I'm used to. I noticed they were starting to discolor a week...

I have a little kitchen scale I can use to measure anything I need pretty accurately. With the size of my pool, it either gets a half or whole 4lb container of granular cya, so I don't measure it.

Re: Why so much hate on pool store's water test? Seven days! That's nuts! My wife made some with apple cider vinegar, peroxide, and alcohol based on a natural recipe she found for the swimmers ear medicine. Regular alcohol has worked for me for 25 years, so I'll just stick with it.

Click on the file that you exported from the beta version and then it will let you import it into the new app. I emailed the beta version export to myself and opened the email, then clicked on the file and it asked me what I want to use to import it. I clicked on Pool Math and it was all there.

Just add liquid chlorine/bleach like you would to the pool to maintain a FC level.

It's 5 minutes at the start of each season. Easy enough to do, at least for me. I don't want to buy a new filter yet either.
