    🤣 that’s too easy though.

Yes, perhaps I should have searched first. 🙄 Although, looks like the OP decided to just buy some, so didn’t really have any feedback.

Making a reference CYA solution. Is it going to work?

So I’m “working” from home today, and got bored and decided to try making a reference CYA solution. I did 12 grams of granules to 12 liters of RODI water, which should yield a 1000ppm solution I can then dilute to whatever target. Has anyone else done this? If so, how’d it go?

Would re-plumbing my suction lines make a difference here?

I'll try searching for an air leak and flushing out the line after work today. The PoolCleaner is brand new, started using it Saturday after I installed my SWCG. Thanks for the suggestions!

I have the antithesis of a trouble free pool. I'm at a loss. Any help would be appreciated.

It's not a swamp now, it's crystal clear, with no visible algae. It took a lot more work to get it back that way, but I don't like putting 12,000 gallons of strain on my well pump.

Would re-plumbing my suction lines make a difference here?

I can't imagine where an air leak would be. I'll double check the gaskets on the pump cap and valves, but why would it only be when I restrict flow to a certain point? I've always had to route most of the suction to the cleaner, and I can't have both the main drain and skimmer open, or neither...

Would re-plumbing my suction lines make a difference here?

Yeah, cavitation is what I meant by the water "degassing". I knew there was a word for it, just couldn't think of it. Here's a video.

Welp, I went from ~4.4 FC to ~1.4, from ~9pm to ~6am... So I guess I'm slamming this weekend. Before that I'll check & scrub every nook & cranny, and clean out/recharge my DE filter.

Would re-plumbing my suction lines make a difference here?

Hello everyone. I won't pretend to know anything about fluid dynamics or whatever, so I figured I'd ask here. My pump is currently plumbed like this: In order to get enough suction to my Hayward The PoolCleaner to get to ~11rpm, I need to turn the 3 way valve to like 4:30-5:00, blocking off...

Thank you for the reply. I can definitely see a reaction happening in the cell, so it's doing something. Of course, I guess I can't really tell how well it's working. I will definitely try the OCLT tonight. I'll have to wait until the weekend to SLAM it, but sounds like a plan. CUlator no...

Thank you for the reply. It doesn't seem like that since my CYA doesn't really drop, but I do have plenty of aquarium tests so I can always check. I will definitely try a more deliberate, controlled overnight loss test!

TL;DR I can't for the life of me keep my FC up in my 12,000 gallon. Used to use tablets causing skyrocketing CYA. Just balanced everything best I could, and installed a SWCG rated for 25,000g, still waking up with 0 FC in the morning. Hello TFP. This is my first time here, but I probably...
