How to keep pool water full?

I've got a wi-fi controller on my fill mainly so it remembers to turn it off. I don't use the schedule function yet, but the fill time is set or 30 minutes which gives me an inch rise in the pool. I tend to get involved in something else and overfill. Now I'm working on some sort of fountain to...

Priming programs runs every day at 12 am

Time for a follow-up... I changed the program so that it starts at 12:00 PM rather than AM. I set my first period for 6 hours at 2500 rpm, and the second period to 18 hours at 1000 rpm. I couldn't add more time to the same or a new step, Every day at noon it runs at the priming speed for two...

    Replacing pump with Calimar VS

It is working well for me. I have it plumbed 2" at the pump I don't know that there is a benefit but in my case I was replacing valves and such so 2" required the least connections and adapters to glue.

About to empty and refill my pool... (Las Vegas)

We have relatively hard water where I live. Adding a connection to the house softened water has been a win for me. Added an outdoor shower for my wife at the same time and got a lot of points to burn.

Priming programs runs every day at 12 am

LOL, that is my biggest issue with running an OCLT!

Priming programs runs every day at 12 am

I have the schedule starting at midnight 00:00. Schedule is: 1) 1200 rpm for twelve hours, 2) 2800 rpm for 6 hours, 3) 1200 rpm for 6 hours. Should I extend the schedule beyond 24 hours? Maybe move the schedule start?

Priming programs runs every day at 12 am

I have confirmed my Calimar 3hp VS pump runs the priming program at 12:00 am. My priming program is set for 3000 rpm and 2 minutes. That speed isn't programmed anywher else, or that length of time. I had a suspicion something odd was going based on comments from the neighbor and my wife. Last...

Primers, Cements, and Glue, oh my.

I found clear cleaner and cement at my local Lowes. Had to look hard as it isn't appropriate for code work where they want evidence you cleaned the joints, or even to keep yourself honest. Almost all the cleaner is purple.

    High PH

I ordered the CYA standard solution R-7065 CYA Standard 50ppm (2oz) so I could learn what to expect. It gives you a test result of 50 in the tube. I found it very helpful. I occasionally redo the standard to remind myself of what the results should look like.

Unexpected results from adding boric acid

Thanks, I'm aerating now to get the pH up and CSI a bit lower.

Unexpected results from adding boric acid

This morning I added boric acid and cyuranic acid to the pool. The readings before were FC: 6, pH: 7.5, TA: 90, CYA: 40. I added 15 lbs of boric acid duda diesel and 37 oz of dry stabilizer. Aftern5 hours the pH was 7.2, TA was 100. I didn't expect those to change. Was that unrealistic?

Ph Meter and the Taylor drop test

I recalibrated my meter this evening. 4.00 read as 4.23 7.00 read as 7.13 10.01 read as 9.96

Ph Meter and the Taylor drop test

I have a Yinmik YK-5. It's a cheapy on Amazon, but I have been impressed with the calibration stability. I initially tested it once a month in the test solutions I purchased at the same time. Extended that to 3 months and did a calibration at 6. It hasn't drifted enough the last time I checked...

Signatures in mobile version of website?

I haven't been able to figure out how to read a members signature in the mobile version of TFP. What am I missing?

Ph Meter and the Taylor drop test

I've enjoyed my electronic meter. I'm not able to get good readings using the pH test that comes with my TF-Pro Salt test kit. There just isn't enough color differentiation for me. I do like the Taylor 9056 comparator with the R-0004 reagent and get readings that match my meter. If I had a wish...
