pool + raised spa: two safety covers or one?

Hi, I have a pool with a raised spa (~3') on the side and am looking to get a safety cover. Some places said to go with two separate covers and run cabling on the wall of the spa and another suggested to go with a single cover with it going up and over the spa. Any thoughts on either options...

Air bubbles not coming out of one set of jets

It's a newly constructed pool/spa. I'll try to plug some of the other jets to see. I'm thinking that there's just not enough air from the blower to flow through all of the jets with the water running.

Air bubbles not coming out of one set of jets

Some info on Spa: I have a fairly large spa at approx 1200gals. Measures 7.5' L x 8.5' W x 3' D with a 1.5' wide bench all the way around at 1.5' deep. My builder put in 18 jets...two groups of 3 jets on each side, two groups of 2 jets on outer side and two single jets along pool side. It's...

Anyone have an idea on installation costs? Alternatively, is this something a DIYer can do?

    Jandy Automation Costs

From what I've researched, I believe I need the following. Please let me know if these are good choices or if any components are missing/wrong. PDA-PS8 System PureLink sub panel power center w/ 12 breaker base AquaLink cell kit for pools up to 40k gallons All together, they are around $2400...

    Jandy Automation Costs

In the process of building a new inground pool and attached spa w/spillover. It will have all Jandy components (CV580 filter, AquaPure 1400 SWG, 2hp variable speed pump, Legacy 400k BTU heater, 2hp blower for spa, 3hp jet pump for spa). My question is what's needed to fully automate everything...

Ready to pull the trigger on a new IG pool build...thoughts?

Re: Ready to pull the trigger on a new IG pool build...thoug I don't know what my electric rates are, but it's not cheap here in NJ. I think I'll look to upgrade the pump to at least a 2 speed if not the variable speed to cut down on electric costs. Also, I think the builder is using a...

Is using Bluestone coping/deck a bad idea with SWG?

I already have a Bluestone patio and would love to have it around my pool to keep it all in the same stone, but I was leaning towards a quartzite patio/coping for around the pool due to concerns of erosion from the SWG. My pool builder said I can he can install a Bluestone patio/coping along...

Stone Patio: expansion gap or directly rebarred to pool?

Thanks. Is the bond breaker essentially the same as an expansion gap? Not sure what the difference is

SWG pools and natural stone decking corrosion...true/myth?

Re: SWG pools and natural stone decking corrosion...true/myt The builder didn't state type of stone in the SWG waiver. From my understanding, Tennessee Crab Orchard is a sandstone and is softer. Therefore, I'll probably go with Norwegian Buff as I believe it's quartz based stone. I assume...

Stone Patio: expansion gap or directly rebarred to pool?

I live in NJ and have gotten different views on whether to install the pool patio with an expansion gap or directly connected to the pool. I'm looking to put in a Norwegian Buff patio without the traditional coping. The coping will be part of the stone patio so it would look seemless to the...

SWG pools and natural stone decking corrosion...true/myth?

I'm looking to put in a new pool and different builders are saying different things about SWG pools and whether or not they will damage natural stone coping/decking. I'm looking at Tennessee Crab Orchard or Norwiegan Buff for the stonework and would like to also have the stone laid underwater...

Thoughts on equipment for a new pool.

I forgot to mention that I'll also have a 50sqft raised (about ~18") spa with 8 jets and water spillover into the pool.
