Pool water is cloudy but not grey or green anymore. This as been about 5 days of work. Just vaccumed/brushed/skimmed out the pool Test Results FC 16 CC 0.5 CYA 40 TA 160 CH 110 pH 7.4 I read it can take a while for the cloudiness to clear...what about my TA? Is that too high or will it come...

    Duuuwww

I just brushed the liner and Im sure that all the stuff I stirred up will bring it down. Plus, it will be a very sunny day. I hate algae, its ruining my tan!

    Duuuwww

I am slamming my pool after it developed some green algae. I went out to test this morning and calculated my needed chlorine to bring it up to shock level (16 wit my CYA @40ppm). well, I must have still been sleepy because I added 37 cups of chlorine instead of 37oz! WOOOPS....well, thats one...

    What Now?

lol, its ok. I figured that was the case - - - Updated - - - Kids have swam the last 3 days. I have borax already and lots of bleach. I need to brush anyways so I will mix it in good. Should I be worried about TA rising with borax? My target for CYA was 40...I may need to raise it more later...

    What Now?

My CYA was only 35...wouldnt this show no reading?
  9. M

    What Now?

FC-3 CC- 0.5 CYA-35 TA-100 pH-7.0 (or lower since my kit only measures to 7.0) CH-100 I know I need to raise chlorine. My fresh fill was a week ago or so and pH hasnt risen that I am see on my kit.

pH is still 7.0. Should I give it more time? The water is holding Chlorine really well (this was a problem before) so I am very excited about this. There is a lot of debris in the water because I hadnt got the cover on and of course my vacuum broke yesterday so thats no good. I wonder if I can...

Thank you. It was raining as I was trying to do my tests and I figured I would just wait since the CYA needed to be dissolved. I will run a fully tomorrow morning and update from there. I am new at this testing stuff so I am unsure I am doing it right. I appreciate your help!

OK, I filled my pool today and added my CYA per the calculater (30oz by volume). I added bleach while cleaning the liner and couldnt help but test the pH, CYA and chlorine levels wit my fancy new kit. pH didnt look very close to the lowest color of my kit. I am assuming this is normal...
