Plan Review... New Pool Build in Minnesota. First Time Builder, need your awesome advice!

True, and the swim season in Minnesota is a lot shorter than in Oklahoma where I live. The air is better up there too. Oklahoma has got to be the dustiest place I’ve ever lived.

If you go with cartridge filter you’ll likely want 2 sets. That way when one set gets dirty you can just pop a new set in while the first set are soaking in trisodium phosphate. By cleaning the cartridges you can use them for many years. I have an older set of cartridges I use for opening...

    ECM16SQU 1.65 THP Century V-Green VS

Last year, at the start of my pool season, everything started up great. Then one day, I left the cover of my V-Green user interface open and it got rained on. Shortly after that I could no longer program the motor but I still had a functional override button. I was able to operate my pump at...

    Anybody Ever Seen This?

I leave all my equipment out over the winter and never had a problem. Oklahoma winters aren’t too bad. I use a Cyclone blower so I’d be surprised if there was any water in it but it’s possible.

Thanks Newdude, that was interesting. It looks like that cover is epoxied in so if I took it off I would never get it back on without it leaking worse. I’ll just leave it alone and keep it in reserve.

    Anybody Ever Seen This?

I installed this IC40 in May of 2018. It still works flawlessly. The problem I have with it is the top half of the housing is starting to separate at the forward end. At higher speeds it leaks right where the gray adhesive(?) is visible. I was afraid that it would totally separate one day when I...

    Replacing Concrete Pool Deck

Thank you for responding. You had quite a bit more going on than I do, I think. I guess we’ll see when they take the deck off. I’m trying to do this with the pool still in operation as the water is too warm to close. Last year I closed early and opened late and I’ll never do that again! I will...

    Replacing Concrete Pool Deck

I’ll experiment with the tarp. I’m more worried about the concrete dust. Is there any chance the dust will clog my filters?

    Replacing Concrete Pool Deck

Hi All, around half of my pool deck has settled, I believe from 2 leaks I had 2 years ago. The man I hired to repair the deck after the leaks were fixed is doing the work. They will saw the existing deck to break it up for removal. What I’m wondering is if there is anything I can/should do to...
