What type of manual vacuum head!

I have a vinyl pool, and have always used the cheapest clear blue triangle with weights that I can find, it is what I grew up with. However the brushes don’t go to the edge. So it makes it a little hard to get in the edges of the pool, where slopes meet, etc. Any suggestions?

    SLAM - pH and CYA

Thanks for the replies! Water was clear when I started, but had fine dust when brushing and using chlorine overnight when I started SLAM, dust got worse the first day, but today seemed to be a little better and used a little less chlorine. Hoping that 1 or 2 more days will do it.

    SLAM - pH and CYA

Per the guide, Why adjust pH to 7.2 - 7.5 and raise low CYA before slam ? My pH normally runs 7.6 to 7.8. CYA is at maybe 20, and I will raise to 60 for the season, but it seems like SLAM would be just as effective with low CYA, although if it actually gets sunny all day, then yes that could...

New EVO 614i Robot Pool Cleaner Review

The standard 614iQ filter is picking up fine dust? If so, that is good news. They make a fine filter for the 614iQ? Michael

New EVO 614i Robot Pool Cleaner Review

I need to replace my pentair920 which I believe is basically the same as the a20 or s200. I like the idea of the evo 614i for WiFi, and especially the dual motors, seems like the 920 often got stuck on the main drains. However, I always ran the fine pleated filters, unless I just wanted it to...

    Comparator Light

I usually run tests indoors and like many of you, I'm the worst at reading pH. I'll see 7.7 through 8.0 as the same. Occasionally, I'll use my K-1001 test kit for pH as the comparator range is 7.5, 7.8, 8.2 and I can more easily tell if the pH is above or below 7.8 Is there a light that is...

    thinking about increasing CH

I’m thinking about increasing CH to 150, 175, or maybe even 200 to perhaps help the heater (see thread here) and also move CSI closer to 0.0 (even though pool is vinyl) Current tests: FC: 5 CC: 0 PH: 7.5 TA: 90 CH: 110 CYA: 55 (greater than 50, but less than 60 - may bump to 70 some day)...

New SWG installation, bad pool salt

Congrats on the second hand SWG! since you cleaned it, I doubt it contributed to the algae etc. At the end of the day, I think you will be happy to have it. FWIW, my pool is a bit smaller than yours, I don’t have automation, run my VSP pump 24/7, and run the SWG at anywhere from 10% to 60%...

    Cantilever Umbrellas and Wind

So that happened, glad the planter caught it. Usually, our umbrellas are down in the wind, I’m surprised how well our cantilever does, but might break or topple in gusts.

    Using the TF-PRO with Smart-Stir

Not sure if there are any on Tf-pro, but it uses Taylor reagents, so tests would be the same. Taylor has resources on their Site and a YouTube Channel, look for k-2006 videos and instructions. Extended test kit instructions; See TF-Pro resources here.
