Can someone recommend a plain spa light?

Your “this on Amazon” is accurate and not too good to be true. It just hasn’t been marked up by several companies, then put for sale at a ludicrous price. That one would be a good choice if it fits your niche.

Can someone recommend a plain spa light?

When my old pool light leaked I pulled in a new Amerilite housing and cord, then removed the new bulb and replaced it with a LED bulb from Inyo Pools. It changes color when you switch it on and off quickly. I’m really happy with it. The LED bulb was $40ish and the new housing was $250ish on...

Polaris 280 - $270 to tune up. Does this price make sense?

Parts for your 280 are available from many sellers on EBay and are less than half what Polaris charges. They may not be OEM, up who cares, they work. I’ve rebuilt my 280 several times with the cheaper parts and it works great. It took less than an hour. Just replace the broken or worn out...

    Smart Switch for lights

To the OP, just so you know, Inyo Pools sells those lights for about $75 each. Amazon sells the same lights for a little cheaper. It’s just the LED bulb that goes in the waterproof pool light housing, in place of the old halogen lightbulb. I installed them myself. I can’t imagine what...

    Smart Switch for lights

Yes please let me know. I’ll install a switch like that at my house if it works for you.

    Smart Switch for lights

I have similiar lights and the switch needs to be cycled quickly to change the colors. Will you be able to do that with the WiFi switch?

    Fake tan is heinous

It’s been years since I saw that movie. If I remember correctly, Marvin didn’t fare so well lol.

    Pool Quote. Jupiter Florida

Having just gone through a nightmare build of adding a second garage to my house, be sure to have a clause in the contract that penalizes the builder if they don’t get it done on the agreed date. Make it significant so they follow it, say $500 a day, each day thats it’s not finished on time.

Dirt & sand on the pool floor

I have a Polaris 280 that runs for 1 hour each day. It keeps the bottom fairly clean. I’ve haven’t manually vacuumed in 20 years. I live on a dirt road with a ton of trees around so my pool doesn’t stay clean, but the Polaris 280 helps a lot.

    Mini Fridge outside under bar

I have one in my outdoor kitchen, but also no doors. I only turn it on when I’m going to have friends over. You can probably put one in and just not run it all the time like I do.

    My pool light stopped working....

That really, really looks like a 120v floodlight bulb. I’m thinking the guy you talked to is confused. Did he see the pics you posted? Are there any markings on the bulb? Also, I’m seeing corrosion on the bulb where the bulb screws into the fixture. That may be your problem if there’s...

    My pool light stopped working....

Was there water inside the light? In the picture above, inside that black box on top of the two PVC pipes, is your light connection. Turn the main breaker off and take out the screws to that black box. Then turn the breaker back on. At this point be very careful because there will be 120v...

Aqua Lamp - AL10 Niche - Brass inserts spinning

How about using JB Weld to stop the brass inserts from spinning. JB Weld is strong as heck and waterproof when dry. Push some JBWeld under the loose part with a toothpick, then build up a bead on the backside of the insert and glue it to AL10.

Aqua Lamp - AL10 Niche - Brass inserts spinning

Would a Rivnut work? Amazon sells a kit with different sizes and the installation tool. I’ve used them for various things around the house and they work great. You may need to countersink them in AL10

Jandy Pool Light Pilot Screw and Niche Tab

Yes it is that simple. I just did both my pool light and spa light a couple weeks ago. I got them from Inyo Pools, but they are available from Amazon a little cheaper with Inyo Pools being the supplier. The LED pool light is 35 watts and the spa light is 6 watts. They change color by...
