Using TF100 test kit from last year i was getting CYA reading of around 40, when i ran out of reagents i had my water tested at Leslie's and got a CYA reading of 30. I ordered new reagents for the test kit and the first test with the reagents was CYA of 65. All readings were within 5 days...

The surn burned it off, the pool was chrystal clear by 2 pm Thanks for the responses. BTW, next time i use bleach i will pour directly into skimmer rather then btoadcasting over pool.

no never use algaecide.i do have trichlor pucks in the chlorinator.

Actually my pool was very clear, just the start of algae which i why i shocked with bleach. The chlorox was unscented (i believe) but i also put Waimarts no name brand because they didn't have enough Chlorox
