Interesting - when I squeeze the socks, it quickly comes out. I’m surprised the jet doesn’t accomplish the same.

What are you guys doing to get the CYA dissolved in 24 hours? I’ve had socks filled with CYA, hanging in front of the return jet, for going on 4 days now. Still half full.

Update for anyone who finds this thread in the future; It’s the salt cell. I have no idea why, but when the cell is turned off - no foam. Turn it on - foam again.

I know the SLAM process inside and out. I have done it a dozen times across multiple properties and have been a member of this forum for many years. This is a specific problem I’ve never experienced before. Foam after a liquid chlorine shock.

No algaecide, no bleach, no other product other than liquid chlorine from the pool store. Pool was green, shocked it heavily. FC was at 35 yesterday, so i’m thinking it’s still very high this morning. Any idea what the foam is? There is enough chlorine in there so kill all the algae in Lake...

Sorry for the late response, but yes, it wiggles a bit. I contacted the company I purchased it from and they said it’s normal with these saltwater pools.

I’ve heard the hose idea is hit or miss (because of the leak is on the underside, it won’t hit it) but i’ll give it a try. Thanks!
