    What's your current pool temp?

    Depends on what size heater you have. I have a 250k BTU for my 26k gallon pool. I opened at 47 and in 3 days was up to 75. The 4th day, the temperature outside was in the 40's so didn't go up much that day. The 5th day was sunny and 70 and I was able to get it to 82.

    At What Temperature Should I Open Pool/Michigan

    I opened my pool last Tuesday. It was 47 when I opened. I've been running the heater and it's up to 80 now. I was able to swim on Sunday. Would have swam today but my son had baseball.

    New pool owner

    In the calculator, you will want to use average depth and not just the deepest depth. 30x15 at 9.5 ft deep gets you 32,000 gallons. The average depth would be closer to 6ft. Which would be around 20,000 gallons.

    Pool fence / barrier question - in Georgia (pre-existing aluminium fence)

    I live in Michigan and I believe our code is the same. That type of fence you have would not pass code here. That horizontal bar would work as a step and not pass. You could install rolled wire fencing, like you would use on a split rail fence on the outside and that would allow it to pass...
