Thanks. There is no regulator near the pool equipment, only at the gas meter over 80 feet away.

Thanks for the detailed reply. There is a regulator I believe, but it’s 80 feet away on the other side of the house near the gas meter. I called the installer today and he said this is normal for this heater, which uses a glowing element rather than a “spark” igniter.

Pump installed in 2011. Today I noticed a slight clicking sound coming from the back of the pump motor. If I didn’t know any better it sounds like electric arcing Pump sound. I’m not sure if this is a sign that the motor is nearing end of life and will fail at some point - but in any case...
