    Pool Math........The App

Question on the app. The Recommended SWG FC levels do not match what's in pool school. I see 1-3 on the app, but pool school mentions 4-6 FC. Am I missing something?

    Pool decking question

Thanks both of you! I've heard about shark bite. My PB said something about adding play sand but then dismissed it himself saying that "it works itself out of the sealer anyway". I don't know if I fully trust the guy so I appreciate your opinions.

    Pool decking question

Hey all, I've had some issues with my concrete pool deck- mainly 2 instances of de-lamination of the sealer over two winters, leaving some seriously unsightly marks on the concrete. My PB has agreed to either re-do the concrete or (somewhat) subsidize any new different type of decking. I'm...

    Intellichlor IC20 and Fuses?

UPDATE: So things have gotten interesting in the last few days... Called Pentair support and they assigned a warranty case to me, after first telling me that my salt was too low (3000ppm) and I would be charged if they came out to find low salt, even after explaining the sensor read high salt...

    IC40 cell lost power

Those are the ones that I literally just bought for my ic20. My blown fuse thread is one below yours. I'm on fuse number 3 I bought glass from the a store to tide me over. I don't know the difference if there is an electrical person around to explain, they will be by soon.

    Intellichlor IC20 and Fuses?

The first thing I did was pull the cell. It's sparkling clean! I also bought the Pentair official replacement kit so i would hope they would put a correct fuse in...I looks like a 10a 250v slow blow fuse though. I'll try unplugging the swg from the power center and see if I can get the fuse...

    Intellichlor IC20 and Fuses?

I've seen a few threads on this and am now experiencing the same issue. checked the pool Tuesday morning, saw no lights on my IC 20. Ok, blown fuse. I replaced the fuse yesterday (nothing at the local stores except for a complete kit...ouch) and this morning checked the salt cell, and lo and...

    Water on Pool Cover

Looks like a solid cover, and my pool guy told me a resounding yes, as long as it's not frozen, you should be pumping. Not sure about snow though, I'll have to ask myself.

Heat pump - run it all day, or just a few hours, or. . .?

Don't know about the rest of the equipment, because I'm all Pentair, but I can tell you that an easy touch (Pentair automation) SHOULD maintain color control on those Fiberstars lights. I have them too and the color is controlled by DIP switches and repeatedly turning the switch off/on in...

    Intellatouch or no?

EasyTouch, eh? Same principle? Does it have Peripherals and all? Is it easier to use? I'm looking and there's some negative reviews...

    Intellatouch or no?

I'm just wrapping up my first season with my pool, and of course, I'm thinking about what worked this year and what didn't. My biggest annoyance was that I could only adjust my Pentair IC20 SWCG in increments of 20%, which I learned after it was put in (thanks PB)...It's super annoying, and...

Above Ground Pool - sloping yard...drainage around pool...or retaining wall?

Not too far from me either. The clay soil in SE PA is horrible. I have in IG pool but I actually had my PB put in french drains for my roof runoff for this exact reason. The dirt can take days to absorb the kind of rain we get from 1 bad thunderstorm. I second the french drain!

Question about the R-003 reagent and the FAS-DPD Chlorine test

Ok, perhaps a completely silly question, but I had an interesting situation yesterday when doing my chlorine water testing. I use a TF-100 test kit. I was performing the FAS-DPD chlorine test, when I got distracted after adding the 5 drops of the R-003 reagent (having a newborn will do that to...
