    Raypak Propane Heater Installation

Hi @coolinthepool - what did you ultimately decide about self-installing the Raypak propane heater? I just made the same Internet purchase for the 105K BTU version (the 106A) and I'm also planning to install myself; and also feeling a bit underskilled for the task. How did it go? Did you find...

MD - VA - PA - DE - DC - When are you opening?

Cincinnati here, and fearful that we've waited too long, too. Been 60s and 40s the past 5-10 days so maybe we'll get lucky!

DIY install question - heat pump location

Thanks for the reply. Hmm. Good points. So- hard piping much better for heat retention than the plastic hoses. And the longer run between pump and heater may be too far to have good pressure which would mess up heater function. Also considering some kind of fake plants or something to...

DIY install question - heat pump location

Hi all -- I've purchased a Hayward HeatPro 47,000 (HP50HA) that I plan to install myself [using a real electrician to run electric]. My question is: how far from the pool I can install it? Below is a poor visual that shows my situation. The pool pump is in rather plain sight between the pool...

Anyone Using a Mesh Winter Cover?

Hey there @ScottAlbi - what would recommend I do for this coming Winter, based on your 2-3 years of experimenting? Mesh cover tight / above the water, with arches or inflatables beneath? We're in Cincinnati so climate is basically the same as NJ, with perhaps fewer big snow falls. Thank you!

Handy people - help me mount this valve on the U-bar please!

@sammckin Forgot to “pay” you for your good advice with pictures! Seems to be good now. Ended up using heavy-duty zip ties (because I bought too big a hose clamp to go through the T and didn’t want to go back to Ace). Do you think I should correct the little upslope / lower the whole rig a few...

What the heck do you do with your solar cover?

We’ve got a 9x18 rectangle solar cover, and as we’re still figuring out all the new routines I have just been laying it out on the lawn adjacent to dry and then kinda bundling it up and leaving it on the ground. Other than getting an attached roller-upper unit, what do folks do with this...

Vacuum plate that fits an Intex skimmer

Thank you for sharing your wisdom @RonsPlc ! Just ordered same off Amazon so fingers crossed it fits mine - but I am fairly confident that it will. TFP is great.

Handy people - help me mount this valve on the U-bar please!

Oh, I like that! So that’s like 18-24” of pvc with zip ties low and a like 6” hose clamp at the top?

Handy people - help me mount this valve on the U-bar please!

Hello everyone! Hoping that somebody can see clearly a way to mount this valve to the post that it’s next to. Right now it is hanging down toward the ground and the weight is pulling on my hose clamps and it just seems like a bad long-term approach. I’d like to somehow attach it to the U bar...
