There was an earlier thread about weighting the Explorer cable to avoid the Beta skimmer. If you own both, you surely understand the problem. Curious if anyone has found a solution. In the previous thread the use of a cable case was used, however it has been discontinued by Amazon.

I want to filter the 26,000 gallons once a day, but is seems waste to run the VSP at 3,400 RPM when maybe 2,200 RPM would pump enough to accomplish this in 8 or 10 hours.
