What did you do to your pool today?

Not today, but Friday I added a good bit of muriatic acid because our TA was higher than I wanted it. Saturday morning I aerated a while to raise Ph back up after dropping TA. We also installed a pair of Pyle Bluetooth outdoor speakers that Deb got for Christmas so she can have her tunes in...

Did a little upgrading and now have questions.

So, over the winter we bought a new sand filter for our Intex pool and as part of the process, I hard plumbed it to the pool to reduce drag inside the plumbing, and well, to be perfectly honest, so that I can say I hard plumbed our pool. Ha! Since hard plumbing and upgrading to the Hayward...

Hanging a rectangular Intex Ultra Frame Pool directly from the pool deck

I assume the coiled hose is to heat your water. How do you circulate it?

Gonna have to do it all over again...

Deb told me I needed to get caught up on the pool build, so here we go. We got another load of sand and Deb got busy spreading it before I got home from work that day. Then we finished building the frame to retain the base of sand. Then the picture taking kinda stopped while we leveled...

Next step... get off lazy butt and finish building the sand retaining frame. Haul in sand. Level it fairly well. Let rain pack the sand in nice and tight. Cover with weed barrier/rolled roofing. Order more sand... No rain in the immediate forcast???? Artificial Rain will have to work...

That's interesting looking. I wonder how heavy it is though.

    Intex Privacy

Has anyone come up with a make shift privacy fence for an Intex Ultra frame Pool? If so, post some pics up in here! Once I get our pool set up, one side will be visible to our next door neighbors and another few feet will be visible from our road. Don't want to fence all the way around since...

Gonna have to do it all over again...

Last weekend was spent camped at the Gilbert RV Campground on the Buffalo National River. We had a great time, but didn't get any pool work done... This weekend however, Deb cracked the whip. We got a good start on the frame that will contain the sand foundation under our pool. It will be...

Gonna have to do it all over again...

Deb is a little excited about the dirt work... We borrowed a backhoe from a cousin down the road. Made the dirt work quicker and a little more accurate. I grew up on a farm so I kinda understand equipment and have a decent hand operating it. I'm no professional by far but if I take my time I...

Thanks Kim, I'm feeling much better. Deb is a beast, she just doesn't realize it. More pics coming soon.

What a lovely weekend to do deck work in preparation for the pool! The high temp Friday was 104 with a heat index of 115! Saturday was cool by comparison, just 103 with a heat index of around 112. We got started early Saturday morning, cutting posts to support the deck beams and attaching the...

Gonna have to do it all over again...

Holy Cow! Has it really been 2 years since I started this thread??? Life has been busy. And we have been a bit lazy as well. Since the last update, we bought a new camper and have spent many weekends in it at various campgrounds all over Arkansas. But one of our trips this month got...

My First "Level" Pool Install and Deck Build

I let the OP know you had questions about his deck. I'm pretty sure he used 2 X 10's sistered together. And I am fairly certain he just used green wood screws to attach the 2 X 4 , 2X10 and 4X4's together. I'm not an engineer but 2 - 2 X 8's sistered would probably be plenty to carry the...
