How do you hook up a Shop Vac to a pump?

There isn’t some sort of adaptor for connecting it?

How do you hook up a Shop Vac to a pump?

Want to winterize my pool but the only way I’ve seen it done is watching professionals blow air into the pump which goes out to the jets, main, and skimmer. Want to do it myself and I’ve heard a Shop Vac is the way to go, but how do I hook a Shop Vac hose up to the pump?

    Air compressor loses pressure

I do have a shopvac. I’m not sure how to connect it to the pump. Or maybe it connects to the system some other way? Not sure why the compressor worked last year unless the compressor is broken.

    Air compressor loses pressure

That didn’t seem to do anything. Thanks for the suggestion. Tell me more about these air blowers.

    Air compressor loses pressure

It’s a Porter Cable compressor. The hose is connected to the compressor on one end, and to the bottom of the pump on the other end. The main drain is shut off. The filter is on re-circulate. This means air should be flowing through the skimmer, and also bypassing the filter to get to the three...

    Air compressor loses pressure

I get the pressure in my compressor up, then I connect it to the pump using a 1/4inch quick-connect coupling (just as I did last year). As soon as I do this, the pressure in the compressor starts falling to zero and I see no air coming out anywhere in the pool. Need some ideas.

    One jet spitting air

The size: fairly small bubbles, like carbonation. The returns: we have one close to the pump at the deep end and two at the shallow end that are about the same distance from the pump; the troublesome pump is just one in the shallow end. (Since it's not the closest jet, this is what has me...

    One jet spitting air

We re-opened our pool a week ago. We have three jets. Two of them seem to be working just fine. But one of them is spitting air—it’s mostly shooting water, but on a fairly regularly basis, maybe once a second, an air bubble shoots out. Is it something wrong with the line?

Bromine tests in hot tub are…orange?

What do you mean by my initial “bank” being too high? I want to make sure this doesn’t happen again.

Bromine tests in hot tub are…orange?

To test for bromine, I have two kits (both shown). The first is a Taylor 3-Way OTO Test Kit. The other is Koikido Pool & Spa 3-Way Test Kit. I’m aware chlorine is converted to bromine, but I read around in this forum and saw some chit chat about how these colors on these test kits indicate FC...

Bromine tests in hot tub are…orange?

No. I’m not referring to that at the FC. I used another test kit for that. The two pics here were to test for bromine. (I thought maybe something was wrong with the first one, so I tried a different one.) I’ve not added either of those chemicals to the hot tub.

Bromine tests in hot tub are…orange?

I’ve not added bromine to my hot tub in several weeks. The brominator is empty. But for several weeks now, my bromine tests come back looking like this: a deep yellow or even orange. I left the hot tub open for a day and the levels did not come down. I added about 20 buckets of pure water, and...
