    Pentair cva-24 valve actuator moves/stuck

Checked the diverter valve and no damage but did lube the 2 o-rings on diverter shaft so manual turning with handle is smooth. Re-lube o-rings on actuator and put everything back. Turn on switch, valve move a bit and gets stuck with clicking sound until I help manually turn the handle where it...

    Pentair cva-24 valve actuator moves/stuck

Yes, took apart shaft and gears to wipe off the gunk (did not use mineral spirits) and inspected gears and o-rings all in good shape. Re-lube gears with lithium grease, o-rings with silicone grease, and motor runs/turns smoothly. Should I reclean the gears in mineral spirits and can replace...

    Pentair cva-24 valve actuator moves/stuck

Found all this gunk under the cover. Clean everything, grease the gears, and reassemble but unfortunately still getting the clicking sound when actuator turns and get stuck. The gears and o-rings look good so what would cause the actuator to seize up? Do I unscrew the 4 long screws and see if...

    Pentair cva-24 valve actuator moves/stuck

Hi guys, Pool is 1.5 yrs and am having an issue with the valve actuator not switching smoothly from pool to spa mode. When flipping the on1/on2 switch, It would move a bit and get stuck making a clicking noise as if the gears are not engaging. I would turn the handle to help it pass the...

    Cloudy Water

Been brushing the spa and tanning ledge weekly and would see slight green film in the water. Get a lot of pollen in the pool from the jungle in the backyard. Lost 1.5ppm FC last night from 6. Is the slight cloudy water a sign of algae growth or the pollen? Do I need to SLAM or add higher FC...

    Adjusting levels

Checked all test again and got: FC 3, CC 0 - added chlorine to target level pH 7.8, TA 175 - will lower TA by lowering pH to 7.2 and add muriatic acid per Pool Math CH 150 - sample was done with the fill water tap. Do I need to adjust and based on what target level? CYA 50, CSI .04 Thanks again.

    Adjusting levels

Early stage of SLAM I was not brushing walls but was making sure everything was brushed in this last round. SLAM results overnight is FC 16 -> 15, CC .5, and clear water so SLAMing is done unless otherwise. Do I wait till FC goes down to normal levels before retesting CH? Thanks.

    Adjusting levels

Continued with the SLAM and adjusted parameters for FC 7, rechecked CYA and added LC based on CYA 40 (target FC 16). Or was I supposed to add LC to get up to 20 based on original CYA 50?

    Adjusting levels

Raining here and expected tomorrow too. Do I halt SLAMing to minimize losing LC added or continue?

    Adjusting levels

Initial SLAM was based on FC 1 for target 20 and plugged in Pool Math for LC addition. To continue SLAMing, would I now plug in current FC 7 for target 20 for adding LC?
