Intex Ultra Frame in wall skimmer - keep water depth?

I guess you could try that, but it's not really necessary to keep a substantial water depth. I installed a Hayward skimmer and have the bolt holes at the top of the weld. This places the top of the actual skimmer a little higher than the weld. In this position I am able to have the water depth...

    Closing and packing Ultraframe AGP

Great idea! I was looking at those very large and expensive Rubbermaid boxes at Home Depot. A trash can would be perfect for the long side posts, etc... Thanks!

Intex 18' X 48" Ultra Frame Swimming Pool

The Ultra Frame pools are a solid investment, and proven to be (in my opinion) the best pool you can buy at their price point. The Intex 1600 sand filter will keep an 18' pool very clean and even circulate the water in a circle causing any debris to settle into a little circle in the center of...

How often to backwash Intex 2650?

I have it's smaller brother the 1600. I find that I really need to backwash as soon as the pressure gauge shows the slightest increase. Just a couple needle widths of change, and you can really feel the reduced flow in the return. That said, I run the pump for 8 hours per day and need to...

Platform built for above ground pool

Beautiful job. My kids could get a good hard jump off of that for sure! I like how he cut and attached the pool ladder for the inside. Nicely done.

Help with easyset intex: wrong way ring

I agree, the ring looks way over-inflated, or is defective. It should have just enough air inside to be somewhat firm when it is cold. When it gets hot it will expand and get even harder, so you need to leave room for that. Also, you need to fill the water up to where the side wall and the...

    Where did my CYA go?!~

I use Leslie's Chlor-Brite granules and can dissolve 1# in a tube sock in about 2 minutes. I just hold it in front of the return and away it goes.

    ordering intex replacement podcasts online

I would first see if the parts were available directly from Intex: http://www.intexcorp.com/index.php/home/above-ground-pools.html

    Do Intex pools collapse

I'm not an advocate of un-level ground, but will share my recent experience. Our 18' Ultra Frame is roughly 1 blue square out of level. Just slightly less, which is probably 1" or so, I've never been concerned enough to measure. Our pool gets very hard use by a large group of 8-13 year old...

    Easy Aeration

Hey CC, Yes indeed. Southern California Edison's finest towers  They're a bit ugly to look at, but here in the dense Los Angeles area they provide a much enjoyed 200' break between my back yard and the guys behind me. Hope your summer is going well! Jim

Vacuum options for 14' intex ultra

Well you can't fill the pool without a strainer so getting one is a given. When you do get it, you simply unscrew the strainer cover to expose the male threads. Then, screw on the Intex female hose adapter made for connecting the vacuum. They look like this: Standard strainer: Vacuum...

    Untimley Intex Demise

What a great idea! I have a retired 18' Easy Set that I am looking to get rid of. Now it may have a new fate.

How about the Intex vacuum made for your pool? They are inexpensive and effective.

    Pump without cord?

Used to sell them at our plumbing supply store and called them "pigtails". We carried 3' and 6' with a grounded plug. But you could buy any length of wire needed so long as it's a sufficient gauge for the distance, and just add a waterproof plug.
