Everything ok with the top shell but can’t believe how small the hole is that drives the turbine! Think I will spend a bit of money getting some new parts and see where that takes me. Thanks to everyone for their help.

Thanks again. The pressure valve is fine. If I take the blue top off and look at the Polaris with the pump running, the ports inside the vacuum tube is shooting water about 8feet into the air! Therefore, I think it may be down to the turbine or gearing or wheels but nothing is obvious...

Many thanks for your reply. My backup valve is brand new from Amazon ( but Chinese made rather than Polaris as only 15% of the cost! ). There is quite a lot of water coming out of the port when the Polaris is working. It does have an O ring - see pic. Perhaps a return to Amazon though.

my Polaris is currently running at 15rpm ie about half speed. I want to eliminate the back up valve as the culprit. This shoots out water when required as it should but it also has water running from it, but not as powerfully, when the Polaris is working. Should this happen or should there be no...
