Thank you for your help! I will order test kit and only add muratic acid.

New here. My total alkalinity is 207 and ph is 7.7. I need to significantly lower alkalinity without decreasing ph too much. Looking for advice. I added dry acid and it brought alkalinity down from 280 to 207. It dropped ph very low. Added soda ash and it increased ph but also alkalinity.
