I just upgraded to the overlap liner on my 16' Intex this past off season. It wasn't hard to do and I love the way it turned out!

So I had a brainstorm over the weekend. Instead of trying to fix the Hayward motor, why not swap the Hayward wet end onto the motor from the spa pump. After swapping things over, I hooked it up and it wouldn't start. I got frustrated and gave up. Then today, I figured I could I could take it...

I started looking for an electric motor repair shop near me last night. I was hoping somebody here would know something to try that I don't for a DIYer such as myself.

I recently bought a used Hayward Power-Flo Matrix 1HP pump & Hayward 180T filter. I got everything for $60 because the guy selling them couldn't get the pump to turn on. After getting it home, I started researching the pump to see if I could get working. I did find that the switch was bad...

As I said, I've got another section of the deck framing up. And I actually made sure to get pictures yesterday evening when I got home. So without further ado.... It is an ongoing project that I will eventually finish. Just give me some time.

I'm pretty much certain the pump can handle it, I'm mainly concerned about the filter handling it without filtering out the chlorine. Now that I start thinking I wonder if the Intex cartridge would fit in the housing I have. The things that make you go hum?:confused:
